TYPES OF ENGAGEMENT
To illustrate the nature of our services here are a few examples of our engagements:

A government owned electric utility in Southeast Asia was concerned about integrating a new ERP system purchased from SAP Germany with their in-house applications. The utility needed a technical assessment of the risks and costs involved in developing proprietary interfaces across multiple hardware platforms. As a result of our engagement, a new platform strategy and open industry standards were implemented leading to substantial cost savings in the client’s resources. .

A German energy management system supplier was planning a strategic entry into the U.S. market. The company needed an evaluation of the target market requirements and an assessment of how their existing solutions needed to be customized to respond to those requirements. As a result of our engagement, the German company set up a North American subsidiary on the West Coast. The North American subsidiary became operational within a year.

A North American system integrator of electrical network automation solutions wanted to enter the Chinese market but was concerned about the property rights vulnerabilities, particularly the protection of critical software. As a result of our engagement, the client concluded a strategic alliance with a non-competing Research Institute in Beijing which provided the legal framework and the property rights protection for the client’s contracts with Chinese companies.

A Swiss automation manufacturer wanted to expand into the Asian Pacific markets. The client required an extensive market analysis and a five-year strategic business plan. Also he needed assistance with setting up a regional office for Asia Pacific including the search and hiring of local resources. As a result of our engagement the start-up company established in Singapore increased the revenue from nil to $10 million over 3 years and returned a healthy operating profit.

A North American automation manufacturer planned to enter the European market for real-time control systems in the utilities sector. The company needed an evaluation of the target market requirements and an assessment of how their existing solutions needed to be customized to respond to those requirements. As a result of our engagement, the company set up a subsidiary in one of the European Union capitals which became operational within a few months.
